Description
This winter collection bundles together three winter-themed environmental science unit studies! It includes my Science in the Snow STEM Unit, Geometry in the Snow Unit, and Glaciers: Science on Ice Unit! This curriculum collection includes dozens of activities covering STEM topics including snow hydrology, weather stations, 3D shapes, symmetry, snowflake formation, glaciology, climate change, snow water equivalent calculations, and much more. There units include tons of activities, projects, worksheets, posters, flashcards, and more.
Age Range: I created these materials with universal design and mixed-age group classrooms in mind (e.g., homeschool, Montessori schools, science and nature camps)! Most of the materials & activities were designed to be crowd-pleasers among students of many ages: such as building your own glacial landforms, measuring snow depth, and learning about the different types of glaciers! A few of the activities are more tailored to specific age groups (e.g., Snow water equivalent and 3D shape volume calculations for middle and high schoolers; 3D shape flashcards for early childhood).
You will receive PDF files containing these three units:
In addition to the printable units, you will also receive a list of bonus resources and suggested online materials to help you expand upon each unit’s topic with reference websites, additional activities, and more.
